Who doesn’t love Nutella? My kids long for this delectable treat, yet I shutter at the thought of the “real deal.” Yes, there are the hazelnuts, but there’s also the sugar, which we know does terrible things to our bodies. And the problem remained..we love our chocolatey treats, particularly in the fall season!

In the spirit of seeking out a treat my children love and one that satisfies with clean eating, I recently created Brownie Batter Hummus, and that was the inspiration and base for my Chocolate Banana Roll-Ups…Who knew this could be so easy and so good!

Chocolate Banana Roll-Ups: serves 2 


One whole grain tortilla (I love Ezekial’s tortillas)
One large banana
1-2 tablespoons homemade Brownie Batter Hummus
Cinnammon sprinkles
Place one tortilla on a cutting board. Spread with homemade nutella, place sliced bananas atop nutella mixture, and sprinkle with cinnamon to your preferred taste. Roll tortilla tightly, tucking ends in as you go. Slice banana nutella roll into 8 pieces (or half) and serve.
